At A-Lot Excavating, we’re always up for a challenge — especially when it involves dirt! This past weekend, we were proud to roll up our sleeves and volunteer our services, the SECOND year in a row, for the South New Jersey Mud Girl Run held at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.
The Mud Girl Run is one of the region’s most exciting and rugged events, drawing athletes, families, and thrill-seekers from all over to test their endurance, strength, and grit. When event organizers needed help preparing the course — from digging trenches and pits to shaping dirt obstacles — we knew it was a perfect fit for our team.
🏃 About the Event
The South Jersey Mud Girl Run is a 5K obstacle course like no other — featuring over 17 muddy, muscle-testing challenges designed to push your limits and make memories. Whether you’re sprinting through swampy trails, climbing rope walls, or belly-crawling under nets, the event delivers fun, camaraderie, and a serious full-body workout.
But it’s not just about the mud — it’s about the mission.

🎗 Supporting The Pink Army
The Mud Girl Run proudly benefits The Pink Army, a local organization committed to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research, support, and survivors. The event brings the community together not only for a day of fun, but also for a cause that impacts countless families.
With participants donning pink gear, running to honor themselves or support for loved ones, and celebrating life. Every drop of sweat (and splash of mud) supports an important fight. We were honored to play a small part in such a meaningful day.

🛠 A‑Lot’s Role
When it came time to shape the course, the event organizers called in A‑Lot Excavating — and we got to work. From grading paths, building and prepping obstacle zones, to making dirt mountains, our crew handled the heavy lifting behind the scenes to make sure everything was safe, challenging, and (of course) muddy.
It’s not every day we get to use our skills for something that’s both this fun and impactful. Watching hundreds of girls conquer the course we helped build — and knowing it was for a great cause — made it all worthwhile.

💪 A Day to Remember
We’re beyond proud to have been part of this event. Huge thanks to the Mud Girl Run organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and especially the Pink Army team for everything they do to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.
At A‑Lot Excavating, we do a lot more than excavation, grading, and land clearing — we dig deep for our community.
See you next year — same mud, same mission!
